Data collected

We follow the principle of data minimization, that is, we only request the data strictly necessary to establish a relationship with the data holder, namely:

• Identification and contact: name, email address and telephone number;
• Payment and financial information: name, address and tax number;
• Anonymous information: website activity and navigation log (see our cookie policy).

Any other personal data voluntarily submitted by the user will not be considered for processing.

 

Data usage

SHELLTER uses the data collected for the following purposes:

• Pre-contractual relationships: providing information about SHELLTER;
• Commercial relations: services provided by SHELLTER;
• Fulfillment of contractual and legal obligations within the scope of the business relationship established with the holder, which include, for example, the issuance of accounting documents.

 

Data recipients

As the entity responsible for processing the collected data, we undertake not to transmit your personal data to entities with which we have no relationship. We do not buy, assign or sell personal databases.

However, service providers indispensable to SHELLTER’s activity may access your data, namely the accounting service provider and the IT assistance service provider, which ensures the protection of the information retained by the company within the scope of its activity. In addition to complying with SHELLTER’s guidelines in accessing, processing and protecting data, these service providers also comply with the GDPR.

Additionally, we may transmit your data to other entities involved in the different activities we provide. In this context, whenever a contractual relationship is established, SHELLTER informs the holder which entities may have access to their personal data.

Additionally, the personal data of holders who have expressed their consent to receive marketing communications will be stored on RGPD-compliant email marketing platforms.

 

Data conservation

The collected data is kept for the strictly necessary period.

In the context of pre-contractual relationships, if they have not given rise to a sale, the personal data will be deleted six months after the date of the last communication between the parties.

In the case of commercial relationships, personal data will be kept for the duration of the service provided by SHELLTER, and some of them may be kept for longer periods in order to comply with legal obligations, as is the case with accounting data.

 

Data holder rights

The data holder has a set of rights enshrined in the GDPR through articles number 15 to 21:

• Right to access personal data;
• Right to rectify data;
• Right to delete data;
• Right to limit data processing;
• Right to object to data processing;
• Right to data portability.

To exercise these rights, the data holder must contact SHELLTER, as the entity responsible for processing the data, through the e-mail address book(at)shellter.pt.

This channel may also be used to clarify issues related to this privacy policy. Additionally, the data holder may complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Commission (CNPD) if misuse of data is detected.

This anonymous information collected will be treated for statistical and marketing purposes.
